Total Knee Replacement with PSI Guides
If your knee joint is severely damaged by arthritis, simple activities such as walking or climbing stairs may be hard for you. You might feel pain while sitting or lying down. This could affect your sleep and ‘quality of life’.
If non-surgical treatment like simple pain medication and walking supports are no longer helpful, you may want to consider surgical treatment. Total knee replacement and partial (link unicompartment) knee replacement are two effective surgical treatment options. Mr Shalinder Sadiq will be happy to discuss these options with you during your consultation. Joint replacement surgery is a safe and effective procedure to relieve pain, correct deformity and help resume normal activities.
PSI (Patient Specific Instruments) Knee Replacement
Mr Shalinder Sadiq uses patient specific ‘personalized guides’ for performing total knee replacement. The patient specific ‘personalized guides’ are designed and manufactured after doing MRI scan for your knee. This technology also manufactures a life size 3 D (3 dimensional) model of your knee, which allows the surgeon to understand bony anatomy of your knee.
